- Bombich Software announced the immediate availability of Carbon Copy Cloner 3.3 on Thursday. The update for the hard drive cloning and backup application added support for Mac OS X 10.6, or Snow.

* Advanced scheduling capabilities — Backup tasks can now be scheduled on
an hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly basis, or you can indicate that a
backup task should run when the backup device is attached (e.g. an iPod).
* CCC recognizes iPods specifically, allowing time for the iPod:iTunes
synchronization to complete.
* The ability to drill down into folders to select exactly what gets copied
and what doesn’t (you can drill down indefinitely).
* Built-in software update feature notifies you when updates are available.

Carbon Copy Cloner 4.1.24 is compatible with Mountain Lion (10.8), Mavericks (10.9), Yosemite (10.10), El Capitan(10.11), Sierra (10.12) and High Sierra (10.13). Note that while this version of CCC may work on El Capitan and newer OSes, we recommend that El Capitan+ users upgrade to CCC 5. CCC 4 and Mojave+: CCC 4 is qualified up to macOS High Sierra.
